Real catastrophic care is delivered by a team of clinicians, not one person. So why are so many life care plans still built by a single planner working alone? This is the thinking behind the Case Veritas model.
FAQ
A medical cost projection is a focused analysis of future medical costs. A life care plan is a broader, structured document that projects all future care needs across the lifespan, including equipment, therapy, and attendant care, with costs. In your free consult we recommend which level fits your case: MCP ($3,000), focused LCP ($10,000), comprehensive multidisciplinary LCP ($15,000), or a custom complex plan starting at $20,000. Outside specialist fees, when a discipline expert is retained, are scoped and quoted separately.
Case Veritas is a physician + nurse clinical team that can work with counsel across the life of a case: an independent merit review of whether the medicine supports pursuing it, ongoing clinical strategy as records and questions develop, help determining what outside specialty expertise the case requires (with no referral fee), and future medical damages through medical cost projections and life care plans. Each engagement has a defined scope.
Every plan and medical cost projection is built by two Certified Life Care Planners from different clinical disciplines, a physician/CLCP and a nurse/CLCP. One serves as the designated author and the other performs formal peer review, and both sign the final plan. Outside specialists are integrated when the clinical issues exceed the core team. Yes. Depending on the scope of the engagement, Case Veritas clinicians may provide consulting, report preparation, deposition testimony, or trial testimony. When a matter evolves from merit review into ongoing consultation or a formal life care planning or medical cost projection engagement, the scope and methodology applicable to each phase are clearly defined.

An independent merit review is a prepaid flat fee of $1,250, and ongoing clinical strategy is billed hourly, scoped to the needs of the matter. Client evaluations are available in both English and Español.
Turnaround depends on scope and record volume: an MCP is fastest, a comprehensive multidisciplinary plan takes longest because it may require a client evaluation and outside specialist input. We commit to a specific delivery date in writing at engagement, scoped to your mediation, disclosure, or expert deadline. To start we need records and billing, the injury and diagnosis picture, date of birth, treating-provider status, venue, and your deadline dates, all in electronic format.
All case materials are submitted through a secure intake process and reviewed by our clinical team. Case materials are handled securely and shared only with authorized professionals participating in the engagement when clinically necessary, such as a retained discipline specialist. A confidentiality agreement is available upon request.
An independent merit review is a flat $1,250 with standard turnaround of five business days from receipt of complete records. A 48-hour rush is available for time-sensitive cases.
